Nov. 5th, 2009 02:11 pmHad my first visit with the oncologist at his office Tuesday. The news he gave wasn't what I was hoping for: its stage 4 because of the spots on the liver and the lungs, so the need to go the chemotherapy route. The two meds Dr. M will put me on are:
Fluorourcil (injection) and Bevacizumab (IV). I'll know the hard way how I'll react to this stuff, but I don't know what my chemo schedule is of yet.
Yesterday, had an appointment with the surgeon Dr. V for a follow-up. She says the ostimy won't be reversed until chemo is done.
I do have a piece of encouragement:
Dr. V has given back to me my driving privileges, resulting in me driving back to the apartment. Now to convince a certain sibling of mine to return my keys. El Rok will be needing E-Check and new tags pretty soon.
